Rosa Mendes cleaned houses in Clapham for an agency for seven years. In 2016 she started Clearday to do it the other way round.
Every one of our cleaners earns a proper wage, with paid holiday and sick pay. They are background-checked, their references are taken up, and they train for two weeks alongside one of our three supervisors before they clean a home on their own.

Four cloths, never mixed.
We bring everything: our own vacuum, mop and products, unscented if anyone at home is sensitive, or yours if you’d rather. And a colour of cloth for each part of the house, so the one that cleans the toilet never goes near the worktop.

Weekly cleaning
The same cleaner every week, three hours at least. Most two-bedroom flats take three.

Usually two cleaners. A two-bedroom flat is about ten cleaner-hours, so around £300.

Evenings after 6pm, one to five a week, with the same cleaner each evening. Invoiced monthly.

Done to the agent’s inventory: the oven, hob and extractor, the fridge and freezer, inside every cupboard, the windows on the inside, and limescale everywhere.

We come round
For regular cleaning, Rosa or a supervisor visits for twenty minutes to see your home and hear how you like it. Free, and no obligation.

Meet your cleaner
We introduce them, and they come on the same day at the same time, every week or every fortnight.

Your key, kept safe
If you’re out, your key waits in a locked safe at our office, labelled with a number, never your address.

Pay as you go
By card after each clean, or monthly by invoice. No contract: a week’s notice to stop, 48 hours’ to skip a clean.
